I love the staff , very friendly and responsible the facility sanitization is great . I recommended this place for lots of my patients . never had any problems and I always follow up with them to make sure that they are happy, I even have interviewed some of the patients randomly without telling them who I am and they were very happy. Kitchen is super clean, rooms are very modern, administrator is very respect full, food is really good Quality , I would highly recommend facility for your beloved ones.
We are in the process of moving my relative out of Best Care. For the entire time that she was there, we were constantly struggling with unsucessfully trying to make sure she got her meds. 2-3 weeks after she moved in, I learned she had not been getting her meds. She was there about 7 weeks and, while there may have been a day here and there where she got all of her meds, that was mostly not the case. She is on a lot of meds, including morphine, so some days she'd get it and some days she doesn't. That goes for all the meds she's on. The facility accepted her as a resident without realizing that the one pharmacy they use does not take her insurance, Simply Medicaid. At that point, or at any point for that matter, they could have just said they had made a mistake in accepting her. Instead, I found a CVS less than 4 miles away and a manager assured me they would be able to get her medications from there. That turned out not to be the case. The most serious problem. as if that is not serious enough, is the lack of communication. For many weeks, I was told all of the management was in a meeting every morning, all morning, every weekday. Then, in the afternoon, no one would answer the phone. When I did get in touch with someone, I too often got lied to. I repeatedly told them, "If you have a problem, let the family know. Perhaps we can help." and there were times I was able to help. But I cant' help if I don't know there's a problem. There also was a COVID outbreak and there was no systematic notification to the families, at least not that I received. I learned it through a passing conversation. This is not a safe place to put your loved one. Oh, and one more thing. My family member asked them to deposit her $1,400 stimulus check in her account there, and they obliged. The business office person requesting to become her payee at our request, but he tells me they have not yet received payments yet. Because they have not yet been paid, they just took her personal money without telling the family what they were doing or why. I understand that they dserve to be paid. It feels very wrong for them to have taken that money without explaining to the family what they were doing.
Bestcare has made my grandmother feel right at home. The staff is attentive to her needs and welcomed her with open arms. .She has made friends quickly with the other residents. I recommend this facility for anyone searching for a home for their loved ones.
Staff provide door codes to patients. Lack of staff in the overnight shift. Patient's excape facility due to other patient's having door codes. Lack of supervision.
The staff has no communication with others there isn't a nurse working on the night shift I wouldn't personally send any loved one to live there one of the worst senior living places I been in my entire life.
