I have had the pleasure of working at Wedgewood for 5 year. As a LPN in the field I saw patients there and they were always treated with great respect. I now enjoy working there part-time.

My Mother has been a resident at Wedgewood in Winter Haven since June 2016. Owners Aurora and Nilo, and their staff members, are all great. My Mom is well taken care of and the smaller facility size means my sisters, father and I are all very familiar with most of the staff. Having had less than stellar experiences at larger facilities makes us appreciate Wedgewood all the more. Mom is also under the care of Cornerstone Hospice, and they are also excellent. Calling them - and taking my Mom to Wedgewood, were 2 of the best things we could have done for my Mom.
I have worked for Wedgewood directly and I have also gone there as an aide for Hospice. This is the best facility in the county that I have found. The owners, Aurora and Nilo, are on site and oversee all activities. Nilo cooks the most amazing food! Not compared to other ALF's, but compared to a restaurant or even your mother! Not only do they oversee the quality staff they hire, but they work side by side with them. This is the only ALF that truly treats your loved one like family. It's a small intimate ALF that feels like home. They can share a room, or have a private room. They can live here and receive Hospice services. Visitors are welcomed and encouraged. There are 2 dining rooms for patients with different abilities and 2 living rooms too. Everything is kept clean and tidy. The personal care they provide is second to none. I always told the owners if I ever needed an ALF to live in or to put my loved ones in, I would gladly move in there. If you are considering placing a loved one in an ALF, or need to move yourself, this is the place you want to live.
